Ghirass Cultural Center considers important to offer equal opportunities to all and thus felt it is essential to offer this inclusion education in the summer camp.

It was run by professional supervises trained in children's social education and benefited from a number of teenage volunteers who were members of earlier Summer Camps and dancers in the older dabkeh (Palestinian folkloric dance) dance group. These helpers thus passed on the skills that they learned in the Cultural Center to the next generation of summer Camp members

Daily Program

The summer camp ran for five days each week, with Fridays and Sundays off to respect both Christian and Muslim holy days. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, workshops were held in Arts, music, dancing and the library activities. Each Saturday we went to the swimming pool to allow the children to learn to swim and to have lots of fun. On Thursday we went on a walking trip to local villages or park to see and experience Palestinian heritage and do our activities out door with more fun.

The working day started at 9:00 am when the children and supervisors gathered outside for games and songs. The children were divided into five groups according to their age, with each group choosing a name for it self.  Each group participated in five workshops every day, each lasting for one hour. There were breaks in- between the workshops, including a lunch break. The work shops are Drama, Art and handcarft, singing and dancing, learning computer skills, reading and activities in the Library.

The day ended with a group activity for all the children at then a conclusion and evaluation session for the supervisors.
